Pick a niche
Try and select a market that has buyers in it. Look for products on sale and advertisers paying to have their products promoted. This will tell you that there is revenue to be earned. Additionally if possible try and pick something that excites you as it could grow into a long term business.

Create your plan
Calculate your budget and plan exactly what your action steps will be. Set aside payment for pay-per-click and banner advertising and track your costs as you proceed. Consider if you will target search engines and other types of marketing. Create a list of all the potential joint venture partners you can get in touch with to promote for you.

Start the process
Build anticipation with a pre launch period where you introudce the product slowly until people are desperate for the release dtae to come. Have your affiliates do the same for you so the crowd becomes excited by your launch. If you can leverage this with paid advertising then you can do this all at once and generate a giant impact. If you have a small budget then slowly add new elements over time as you start to see success.

Take action
Forget about everyhting being perfect before you begin the marketing process. As long as the product has been competed you can start the campaign. So many marketers delay the launch until they have got everything under control but the truth is that the marketer who takes action will have a greater chance of success. Make a dedicated attempt to build a huge buzz about the launch and you will see more affiliates come on board and want to promote the product for you. If you can create that initial spark then much of your work is done.
